Pros
Hands down the best thing about Butternut Box is the culture. It’s not just pictures on the wall or values on the website; people genuinely care about the mission and each other which is infectious. It’s easy to get motivated when you’re actually helping dogs be happier and healthier. They are also big on internal promotion and growth. If you're great at your job and show up every day, there’s a real path to move up or even pivot into a different department. Management is pretty open about the "why" behind big decisions. You don't feel like a cog in a machine; you’re kept in the loop about how the business is actually performing in quarterly townhalls, weekly standup and retros.
Cons
Because the company is growing so fast, things can change quickly. If you’re the type of person who needs a manual for every single task, then it will feel chaotic. It's not a place where you can coast.
