Pros

Amazing coworkers. Some of the people that work here are the most creative, fun, and genuinely driven individuals you'll ever meet. The perks are also top notch, with snacks, lunch catered twice a week, and lots of free swag. The day-to-day is also pretty lax, which helps creativity flourish and grow.

Cons

The pay is laughably bad. Most employees make half of what they would make anywhere else, and are expected to be grateful for meager raises. Workers are expected to make due with terrible paychecks when most offices are located in the most expensive cities in country. Employees that got in before 2014 are living the good life, and get cushy salaries and promotions with little to no actual merit. Management, especially middle management is awful. Nepotism is rampant and the overwhelmingly majority of mangers only got to where they are by having the right friends. Many have no idea what they're doing, and no one else could tell you what they do either. They are however manipulative, and very good at distorting information when it comes to compensation, sudden termination, and actual job roles. When you actually press them with a real questions they either give you the runaround, or a prepared statement that never addresses the actual issue. The managers that are part of that inner circle are set, and seemingly get away with things that would get them fired literally anywhere else. If you're a person of color things are not going to be easy. The company loves the press releases about minorities, but doesn't actually value their opinions. POC are often dressed downed in company chatrooms and email chains, or their thoughts on matters concerning racial sensitivity are totally disregarded. Some of the videos and articles that get posted are totally crass, and have no business being on the site. A POC of also has to deal with untold amounts of emotional labor of helping editors and producers navigate these nuanced issues, but never get recognized for the effort. POC are also not represented in management, which makes them feel like they literally have no one to turn to. White men and women run the show, and they will never let you forget that even for a second. Structure is also a mess and is constantly shifting. You might be on one team for a couple of months, then be switched over to something that is totally out of your area of expertise. Mid-year and annual reviews are never on time, and you have no idea who to contact for matters regarding compensation or promotions. Reviews are also a one way street, and there is no process in place for employees to review their managers. On top of that the organizational structure is awful, and No one really knows who does what or who to even ask about certain issues. For a company of this size it's utterly embarrassing.
