I would like to thank you for raising your concerns.
We are addressing many areas around the business but do not feel that we retain our employee base simply by holding parties. This is a twice a year bonus for our hard working team members to be seen as a reward and a time to relax and get to know other departments.
We know that we have growing pains, with a rapidly increasing workforce who are coming into the business at various levels and we have already made changes to many policies to try and enhance what was already in place.
It sounds like you have had a poor experience in a particular role and I would be happy to work directly to resolve those privately, away from a generic board where messages such as this can cause concern without evidence of any wrong doing.
The word Toxic evokes a workplace that has little or no regard for their employees, where as we have recently been voted as a Great Place to work via an external audit and received accolades relating to our women in technology advancements.
I am always saddened to see that a person leaving the organisation has not taken the opportunity to directly speak to us or anonymously notify HR of issues so that we can take action.
Salary data is always sacrosanct and Gender Parity is key for us. For this reason we are changing our way of working to allow salary data to be shared openly in any role that has been through the Career Pathways programme and shows a very clear path to reach next level of responsibility and salary. However, we are not a Public Sector organisation and will never entirely "Band" Salaries for people. Salary is paid according to the role a person undertakes, the level of knowledge and or experience and the grading where assigned. It is NEVER assigned on the basis of being Male or Female.
Our mantra of Growing Great People to Deliver amazing things remains and is born out by the consistent development, support, coaching and training provided to each person. There is also an element of each person being responsible, to an extent, for their own personal growth.
Should you wish to speak to us directly about your concerns please direct them to HR.
