      Pros

      Working to protect the environment and the economically challenged, the EPA is fighting the good fight. Politics aside, people come to work and can feel good that they are trying to make a difference, not just a salary. Smart people abound, and smart people get promoted. The medical benefits are great. And the retirement benefits are second to no one, anywhere on the planet.

      Cons

      It *is* a government job. So about 10% of the people you work with will be lazy and unmotivated.
