Pros

1. Supportive Colleagues: While the team composition varies, there are a few individuals who are genuinely helpful and foster a positive atmosphere when collaborating. 2. Company Events: The organization hosts events every 1-2 months, such as birthday celebrations, festive gatherings, team lunches, and outings, which provide opportunities for team bonding, despite the challenges within the team dynamics. 3. Potential for Growth: While the experience level of the team is limited, this presents opportunities for motivated individuals to take on responsibilities and grow their skills in a supportive environment. 4. Encouragement of Team Engagement: Although the work structure can be unclear, there are instances where team members are encouraged to collaborate on projects, allowing for some level of interaction and shared learning.

Cons

1. Limited Client Engagement: Only a few teams have direct client interactions or work on actual products. My team focused primarily on automation and testing, with most development centered around these areas. 2. Lack of Agile Methodology: There is no consistent application of Agile practices within my team, which hampers effective project management and collaboration. 3. Inexperienced Team Composition: The team lacks a clear hierarchy among developers. Most members are recent graduates, with the most experienced individual having only three years of experience. The majority fall within the 0-3 year experience range. 4. Imbalanced Experience Levels: Aside from the recent graduates, there is only one team member with over 20 years of industry experience, which limits mentorship opportunities. 5. Inflexible Working Hours: There are no defined working hours, leading to expectations for employees to work beyond the standard 8 hours and even on weekends. 6. Insufficient Team Collaboration: There is a lack of structured work within the team. Employees often need to seek out tasks independently, or the team lead assigns work without a clear direction.

Trying very hard to recapture the magic quadrant days of NCR Digital Banking, but swimming uphill at current time.

Cons

Private Equity squeeze noticeable, and new ownership seems to still be getting grasp on Financial Services Industry.

Pros

There's absolutely nothing positive about working at Candescent.

Cons

After being acquired by a private equity firm, the company has become extremely cost-conscious, often to the detriment of day-to-day operations. Employees face increasing challenges, and morale has noticeably declined. High attrition is unsurprising under these conditions. Upper management appears disconnected from the realities of the work, implementing changes to improve short-term financial results without fully considering their long-term impact, which risks harming the company’s overall performance and reputation.
