Pros
You are allowed to work remotely, but there's no work/life balance. And as a salaried employee, you will not be compensated for any extra time you put in. Even though there is a bonus structure in place - that's for sales and upper management only. You may be thanked, but those are rare occasions.
Cons
- No ladder for any other department than sales; - No one in upper management understands IT - Carchex had IT leadership but both the CTO and the IT department's director left Carchex before the pandemic began (should have been my queue to follow suit, but I stayed); - IT is not supported - the only thing management cares about is IT's ability to support the business, regardless of employee sicknesses and/or lack of childcare; - Even after putting in PTO time and getting it approved, management still will not respect it, contact you and make you work during your time off because as noted above - the only thing management cares about is IT's ability to support the business; - Even in sales, management moved the sales goal every month, so reps have to sell more for the same amount of money. Often goal wouldn't even get communicated until after the 10th of the month;
