Pros
You will meet some of the kindest and most amazing volunteers (CASA) in the DC metro region. Fairly flexible work schedule (ability to telework, at least that was the case in 2014). Low pressure position for one year or less (many people stay with this role for 1 year or less before transitioning to grad school or another organization)
Cons
Poor management/leadership, minimal resources, typical cons to working at a non-profit. The Executive Director and Chief of Staff are very socially awkward/distant, which affects the office morale and culture. Very high turnover, nearly everyone who used to work there in 2014 has moved on with the exception of 4 individuals.
