Pros

Easy access to subway station and Tim Hortons :) You will get good compensation package, and their health cover is a good one.

Cons

Where do I even start... too many to list. One man show, and that makes it very personal most of the time. Encouragement and appreciation is almost non existent. Micro management is a big big issue here, and your every move is monitored! Don't be surprised if they know how many time you used the washroom and how long you took. Very very slow career progression. There is more, but I can't list here because it will require mentioning names and it will reveal my identity, but my advise is to ask around, the situation here is common knowledge in the industry, yes it's that bad.

Pros

- Management are extremely knowledgable and approachable. - Recent on-boarding and changes in company culture made a positive impact on the office environment and the social aspect of working here. The new lounge area is great and the introduction of an activities committee is really driving the company in a good direction. - Treated fairly and plenty of opportunities for those who are willing to work hard. - Office is very easy to access by public transport. - I was given a fairly large amount of responsibility and this meant I learnt a great deal in a short space of time and I felt like a valued member of the team. - I was treated with respect and the company looked after me very well.

Cons

- I would have liked more support during my time at the company but this is very specific to being an intern with no experience of the role and with it being a small company, it is slightly more difficult to dedicate a lot of time to a new starter. (This is something the company is aware of and actively working towards to ensure that they improve on-boarding and training.) - Communication and distribution of work wasn't always as fluent as it could have been.
