Pros
- I've heard the on-ground campuses are alright, but steer clear of the online division. The hiring requirements: - You have a pulse
Cons
The Management: - Some of the most insufferable and incapable upper management I have ever seen in all my working years - Problems are addressed but never solved and are cyclical in nature. - They don't understand your role at all and will request absurd things from you because of that. It's because everyone is hired from outside. - They will request you to obtain something from a student that does not exist, due to the fact they actually have no idea of how anything in your position works. (because everyone in upper mgmt is an outside hire) - They will pretend to resonate and hear your voice. - All the problems I will be outlining stems from the incapabilities of upper management How they treat their employees: - They don't believe in giving employees a raise. Don't waste your time here. If you've been here for a year, you still won't get a raise. - No paid sick days. - Extremely high employee turnover rates across all departments. They have to keep hiring new people because the more experienced ones are leaving, leaving absolutely nobody capable to work. - You quite literally have to learn everything on your own. The operations: - Extremely inefficient, as I will outline below - They change the way they do things every month because nothing they suggest ever works. Seriously. - The sales team management are ONLY concerned about getting their numbers, and are willing to jeopardize and disregard everything on the SFP's side just to achieve that , generating more work for us - only to follow it up with a simple, "Sorry, it won't happen again". Spoiler alert: it will happen again. The Values: - Their motto is, "We Change Lives Through Education". This is the funniest thing I have ever read. They certainly do, by pressuring their sales team to force the student to sign the papers to get them enrolled, disregarding the financial planner's advice on the student's financial assessments, ultimately leaving the student in crippling debt. They have certainly changed their lives through education. - Forcing homeless students to take on $25,000 in loans. The way they handle COVID-19: - They don't enforce any employee health checks when entering the office during Covid-19, as dictated under section 42 of the Public Health Act. This is illegal, right? - Building management sending out violation emails every other month - Health Authorities keeps coming back to check on health violation reports every 4 months - They put more effort into keeping employees from working from home than they do in fixing their actual problems
