Pros

IT department is very high tech throughout the whole company: Yammer, Outlook 2014, Office 365, Lynx and webcast and more...can't keep up with all the current high tech processes. Benefits are amazing

Cons

Administrative staff beware: Their recognition for staff is lacking; supervisors reviewing their staff that are in other towns, not in the same office. Pay scale for raises really stink for admins. If you get a 5 on a review, your review gets put into a pool of hundreds, literally, of other admin's of different levels, skills, education, etc. A panel from the corporate office decides if you get a 5 or not, and salary is based on an overall % of all the other admins from all offices all over the Unit you work for (Southeast, Northeast, etc.). Turns out to about .40 or less an hour for an annual raise. Really??? Thanks God the benefits make up for this nonsense.

Pros

Flexible hybrid schedule is very nice and starting salary is high for early career engineers.

Cons

The main people running the company are not engineers and you can tell. They are all focused on utilization with rates often set at 97% or higher. This had led to my supervisor asking/telling me to not charge company required trainings. As an early engineer it really feels like they don't want to invest in me and only care about their bottom line. If you are an early career structural engineer you will also not get any meaningful work until you've been with the company for at least 5 years. The senior engineers do not trust you and will only give you grunt work.
