Pros

Prior to the NCI acquisition of CENTRIA, this company was a delight to be a part of. Since then, they've lost all respect within the industry at large and their sales figures show these results. They have thinly veiled a planned merger with Metl-Span that will further degrade the CENTRIA brand with inferior products, poor customer service, and appalling leadership, or lack of.

Cons

The problems with CENTRIA start at the top with multiple executives from a garage door company. They came to the business with no experience whatsoever in the production of insulated metal panels, and their inexperience led to the loss of dozens of valued employees who were held in esteem throughout the industry. This ongoing depletion of talent has led to zero product launches or innovations in more than 5 years. Sales management has fallen to an all time low, and the marketing and R&D departments have been virtually eliminated. Get out now before the whole company resides in Dallas. And watch as competitors take the market share for themselves.

Pros

The emphasis on compassionate care, the use of SBT and the concept of HRE are what separates Centria from others. Leadership is approachable and creates multiple avenues for feedback. They crowdsource solutions within the company and actually implement ideas based on feedback. They are hiring amazing talent at the top and moving the company in a positive direction. Reasonable billing expectations and the opportunity to earn bonuses. I've seen several centers receive updates and increased efforts in training.

Cons

You have to be responsible for your work/life balance. They will work with you, but they are still a company that has to meet the bottom line. There are a few centers that can be more difficult to work in than others, but I do see leadership working through the issues.
