Crusty Culture at Christus - Project Manager CHRISTUS Health Employee Review

Pros

They tend to pay above market value for most jobs. Onsite cafeteria/convenience store and free wellness clinic for employees and their families.

Cons

So glad to be leaving this crazy place behind me. I've never worked for a place as antagonistic as Christus. Your experience will greatly depend on team placement, as no department really follows a set of professional standards. Some teams are completely toxic and refuse onboarding, training, decency. I'd say best case scenario for an employee without friends/family at Christus is working a dead end job with pleasant team members. Worst case scenario is a team that serves as a daycare for damaged adults who expect everyone to babysit their dysfunctional egos. Smearing, bullying, theft, physical altercations, public humiliation, cyber stalking, you name it. More recently, an "initiative" to spam job boards with fluffy company reviews has become a "recommended" effort at Christus. Form, with no substance - which is exactly what you can expect if you take a job with this organization.

Pros

PTO and health benefits....friendly and helpful front desk staff

Cons

Low pay, no growth opportunities, poor and unprofessional leadership who are very laxed, unhelpful, uncaring, nonchalant and even disrespectful at times.... only in a leadership position for the title and money, showing favoritism to certain associates. What's really disturbing is most don't know anything, not even their job, and can't provide any answers. They use the team leads to do their jobs for them while they sit at their desk and relax.
