Micro managing to the nth degree, condescending. Before I started 2 developers left within 6 months. Since joining, my colleague, who is a developer has handed his notice after only being here just 6 months. Extending probation periods is standard. No design specifications. Estimates unreasonable. If you do your own estimate, you have to justify it to the exact minute. No free tea or coffee. No pay rises or pay reviews. No training. Using Visual source safe. No testers/project managers/Business analysts. No team meetings. No team spirit. No team communication, don't know what other team members are working on. Working in isolation. No Christmas holidays as first in gets holidays. So joining company you don't Christmas off because you're last in. No involvement in releases so no idea whats happening other than your own work.
