Very poor supervisors - Dry Cleaner CLEAN Linen Services Employee Review

Pros

Close to a Lidl and Gregg's

Cons

First and foremost is the fact there is no standardized way of operation, training or instruction for certain areas. Often I would have to ask for more information to do my job better often they will jus leave a new employee to fend for themselves. The supervisors often lie to the foreign national and agency workers or word it in a particular way to make it sound like overtime is compulsory. Also quite poor facilities, overpriced canteen and the toilets aren't cleaned during bank holidays or on the weekends. Very poor communication between different shifts and the supervisors in charge. Check payroll often as several mistakes were made during employment with the company.

Thank you for your feedback; I’ve reviewed your comments and discussed them with the Site managers at our Nottingham Site. Taking on board your comments regarding weekend-cleaners, this is something we’re now going to action. We don’t treat our employees differently, based upon their nationality so I was surprised to see your comment. Just to let you know, we’re actively recruiting additional supervisors to strengthen our Nottingham team and training ability. If you’d like to contact me to discuss this further, I’d be very happy to hear from you: HRAdmin@CleanServices.co.uk Myra Tourick Chief People Officer

Pros

Having worked for CLEAN for 10 years, I've enjoyed opportunities to have great progression in the business and to have worked with a fantastic team. The business is constantly striving to create the best working environment for colleagues through continuous investment, and with the introduction of new communication channels, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity for their voice to be heard. The laundry industry is a fast paced, hardworking environment, there is no denying that, with CLEAN this is recognised - hard work does not go unnoticed and if you are keen to progress, I, and many of my colleagues are testament to the progression opportunities that are available. I get new challenges and continue to learn new things everyday alongside a great team, which is why I'm still with CLEAN after a decade and have no intention of moving on.

Cons

The heat of the summer is unavoidable, even in a laundry.

Many thanks for your positive review; it’s really great to see so many colleagues developing and progressing in their careers – it’s what makes CLEAN so successful. Yes, we’ve invested continuously in both our Sites and people, even through the pandemic, but there is always more to do, and we won’t stop. Please always feel free to give your thoughts directly to your manager or me, we love discussing suggestions which can help us improve. HRAdmin@CleanServices.co.uk Myra Tourick Chief People Officer
