Pros

It's a really cool product, and the people you get to talk to are passionate. Working remotely is nice.

Cons

I want to be constructive because, for a long time, COROS was genuinely a great place to work and I really enjoyed my time there. Unfortunately, over time I felt the company changed significantly. There were recurring product issues that customers and support teams raised repeatedly, but it often felt like those concerns were not being adequately addressed. I also found opportunities for career growth and professional development to be limited. As the company grew, it seemed to adopt some of the expectations and pace of a larger tech company without always putting the same employee processes, support structures, and development pathways in place. There are still many talented and hardworking people at COROS, and I learned a great deal during my time there. However, by the end, I felt there was a growing disconnect between the company's ambitions and the support provided to both employees and customers.

Pros

One of the biggest perks is the flexibility, being able to work from home has created a great work-life balance. The culture is built on trust rather than micromanagement, which makes it easy to stay motivated and take ownership of your work. I’ve also made close friendships with teammates who are like-minded, driven, and genuinely fun to collaborate with. It’s a place where creativity is valued and your voice is heard, which feels a bit rare in my experience. There’s also been noticeable growth within the company, and over the past few years, management has only gotten better about listening to feedback and doing what’s right by employees. That effort really shows in the culture and day-to-day. Overall, it’s been a really positive experience and a place where I feel like the work matters and the people do too.

Cons

Like many marketing roles, it can be tough to predict when things will get busy, and with a small team, almost every season feels like peak season. That can make vacation planning or even weekends to unplug and be offline a bit tricky, but leadership is understanding... you just need to be proactive.
