Pros
- Learn valuable skills in regards to processes, organization and ins and outs of corporate event planning. - The company is well known in the event industry - Make connections with several vendors and companies. Great for networking.
Cons
- Low pay for the amount of work that you put into each event - Disrespect from fellow employees - was told once that my recommendation was "stupid" - Not many opportunities for growth - you get pigeonholed very easily and it is hard for other colleagues to see your full potential. - Managers have direct reports, which is great for creating development plans etc., but most managers don't even have time to follow through with scheduled meetings - No real HR department - nothing is confidential and there is a lot of gossiping
