Pros
It’s a good job; benefits are very good in comparison to what is offered elsewhere. It’s a steady job, you know that you are not going to be fired due to a slow economy, and however you may need to change positions. Co-workers are fun and friendly, you get to help people who actually need it.
Cons
Very high level of management incompetence. They hire managers with no practical or very limited field experience, and tend to promote off the "god old boy" system and not off of qualifications. Middle Management has no respect for the workers, and upper management seems to turn a blind eye to the problems that exist. They also do not listen to employees concerns be it workspace environment issues, to equipment that is buggy or downright unsafe to operate.
