Pros

If you work in the right department, they will pay you well. Also, certain areas of CSAA will have a vast amount of resources to get the job done. People are smart and they care about the company and the membership at large. Any project that you complete at the organization will have an impact on the membership. Benefits are decent to good. Among the more impressive benefits are the great Health Savings Account, and the 20% on Verizon or AT&T phone service. The in-house cafeteria isn't bad; in fact, sometimes the food is really good. The move to Pleasant Hill BART is a big plus for those who commute to the new campus. Also there will be 700 parking spaces in the new building.

Cons

However, politics, somewhat backward mindsets and an antiquated infrastructure has stifled the company's ability to keep up with their competitors. These factors also inhibit CSAA's ability to complete projects that would enhance the company, the member benefits and its' standing in the industry. Moreover, the inability of departments to work together can make the environment very harsh. The company is attempting to push the mantra "Collaborate" to unify many groups. However, people use the "collaboration" to steamroll over each other and point fingers. Furthermore, the aforementioned factors contribute to the lack of a work-life balance. CSAA claims to promote a balanced lifestyle. However, when you work in this environment, you often work late hours trying to work around politics, poor infrastructure and outdated business mindsets to get your job done.

Pros

I am grateful for the resources and vendor relationships that Mobilitas provides. They help me work faster and more efficiently as a Commercial Casualty Adjuster. I also appreciate that the company supports the use of AI, which helps make our work easier and more efficient.

Cons

Opportunities for advancement have become more limited over the past year. It feels like there is not a clear or effective path to move into leadership. The current leadership programs do not feel very helpful or are not geared toward claims roles. It can also feel like staying in the same position for a long time before being seriously considered for promotion.
