Pros

CSC has strong values and provides you with plenty opportunities to step up and take on a challenge. I enjoy working at CSC is that they are constantly evolving in a positive way. The company has a solid history with 100+ years,, which is something to be very proud of. CSC encourage feedback from all employees no matter their position. They are willing to listen and get you involved in looking for ways for us to improve. People are friendly and very supportive. The people are genuine and are willing to make sacrifices for the company. CSC take it's hiring process very seriously and only selects candidates that demonstrate CSC Values.

Cons

While CSC recognizes the importance of staff, they do not offer competitive salary compared to the market and industry. Salary increases are not paid at the time of a promotion as CSC prefer a pay for performance approach ( even though you have already demonstrated your performance which is why you are getting promoted). Sometimes it can feel like you keep on taking on additional responsibilities and extra hours with no tangible benefit. Employees make sacrifices as they take on additional responsibilities with limited return. Work life balance is also hard to achieve due to limited resources. Adding headcount is extremely difficult even though the business is growing. I understand that as a business we need to keep our costs down, but this should not be at the expense of customers. We need to ensure that our service levels do not fall behind because we are growing and cannot keep up.

Pros

Great benefits. Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 at home) is nice for people who want to switch up the days they go into the office / work from home.

Cons

Terrible work-life balance! Overtime is optional, but managers try to guilt-trip you into working OT. The raise they offered was laughable, and I wasn't the only one who was insulted by it. Management is incredibly petty. I also sat through many conversations, started by a leader, surrounding politics and religion. If you're in the annual reports department, it is incredibly difficult to get out. I saw many people try to get into other departments only to be blocked each time. If you're in a satellite office, they will forget about you! They only care about the DE offices.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad the benefits and flexible hybrid schedule were positives during your time here. We take the concerns you've raised seriously—around workload expectations, compensation, and internal mobility. We regularly review our compensation practices to ensure they remain competitive and reflect industry standards, and we're committed to equitable access to growth opportunities regardless of location. Every colleague, in every office, should feel supported and visible.
