Pros

None really! It’s a trap, unless you’re made for it. Then go for it. This one’s for dummies like you.

Cons

CSRBOX is nothing more than an event management company masquerading as a social development consultancy. On paper, they talk about “impact”, “strategy”, and other heavily loaded corporate jargon, but in reality, it’s all eventbaazi and fake LinkedIn chest-thumping to stay visible in corporate circles. Yes, you’ll “learn a lot” in a short time, but only because you’re forced to work at an inhuman pace, with endless, misaligned, and pointless tasks dumped on you. Forget work-life balance—you’ll be slogging late nights, weekends, and even holidays just to meet deadlines that were arbitrary to begin with. The CEO is a lightweight wannabe, trying to punch above his weight to gain visibility in corporate and governance circles, while undermining employee wellness at every turn. He is surrounded by a coterie of yes-men, and anyone who dares to question the farce is either sidelined or suffocated. The culture is toxic. Reporting managers are manipulative—asking loaded, trap-like questions just to push their own agenda. The authenticity of work is laughable; ChatGPT does half the reporting, so what you see on paper is rarely original or credible.

Pros

1. The organisation can provide employment opportunities for people who urgently need a job or are trying to enter the sector. 2. Exposure to projects and field-level work is possible during the tenure.

Cons

1. The organisational culture operates in a highly top-down manner, with most decisions centralized and little room for employee voice or professional autonomy. 2. Roles and expectations communicated during hiring often differ significantly from the actual work assigned. 3. Employees are largely treated as replaceable resources rather than valued professionals. Career growth or merit recognition is limited unless one aligns closely with senior leadership. 4. The Head Office environment feels excessively restrictive, with unnecessary monitoring of employee behaviour, informal moral policing, and practices such as seat rotations that reduce workplace comfort. 5. HR processes lack transparency. Salaries are typically delayed until around the 7th of the month, and salary slips are not routinely shared unless specifically requested and justified. 6. Statutory employee benefits such as PF or gratuity were not provided during employment. 7. Workplace dynamics are heavily influenced by a small group close to leadership, leading to inconsistent decision-making and a difficult work environment depending on internal relationships. 8. Public-facing communication and social media visibility present a much more positive image than the internal work culture experienced by employees. 9. Very high attrition, with employees frequently leaving within a short period, indicating low retention.

Pros

There aren’t any pros of working here

Cons

It is basically a school with a Principal, a couple of head boys and head girls and some class monitors. Basically a hell! You will never know who your manager is. CEO is a typical micro manager and very fickle minded. So leadership here is all about what CEO says yes or no to. Anything at anytime can be YOUR FAULT! You just never know with this company. There is no structure and it’s highly toxic place with all kinds of toxic corporate practices.
