Pros

If your last name is Parsons or you're somehow related to someone on the Executive team you'll do great. Otherwise you'd better hope that you have a relationship with one of their clients and that relationship brings in revenue.

Cons

Don't count on coming to this company to up-skill or to be valued. This is the kind of company that will hire you for your experience and then make you do it their way. Their way will be backwards with no apparent logic or reasoning. It’s very likely that one of the family members (who has never worked anywhere other than CTDI) has come up with the next best idea of how you should do your job. They'll revisit this every couple of months, constantly going back and forth from one bad idea to the next until they eventually grind you down and spit you out. Rest assured that if you don't fall in line with their piece-mail methodology of how they think you should do your job you'll be on the next lay-off short list. Corporate goes through lay-off’s every 6-8 months which leaves their entire HQ community on the edge for 2-3 weeks while the Exec team examines overhead cost to determine where they've mismanaged their P&L and lied to their customers. They'll need to make 10-15% overhead reductions at the price of your salary. Rest assured that they have a full tank of fuel in their personal jet though that’s for sure. If you're REALLY good after a while you won't even be doing your job...you'll be elevated to task master, and you'll be expected to make whatever mess they throw at you disappear. If it doesn't disappear fast enough for their liking guess what...you go on the list. Performance evaluations aren't a thing - no one cares. Actually it’s just the opposite. Performance evaluations eat up company bandwidth and would put too much emphasis on upskilling and performance management. Instead of dedicating effort to the efficiency and effectiveness of their employees - that time is best spent working in the most inefficient manners focused solely on company revenues and reduced overhead cost...only profit matters. If you don’t perform how they want you to you just go on the list. Don't believe the hype - their employees are not their greatest asset. The only employees viewed as assets are a few members of their executive team the Parsons family members and anyone who has industry relationships that will help them make a dollar. If you’re reading this because a recruiter called you or you felt compelled to do some due diligence prior to applying to a position at CTDI – Run. There are plenty of successful companies within commutable distance of this toxic company. You know what they say about the 3rd generation of family-owned businesses. Every ounce of it rings true with CTDI.

Pros

Depending on your branch, it can be a very tight knit group. I have great coworkers but I can only speak for my branch. Decent benefits and weekly pay!

Cons

The pay is okay, Seems like higher ups are pretty strict and it's difficult to get the tools and parts needed for repairs.
