Pros

Health benefits and you get to meet nice residents, some coworkers are cool too.

Cons

Work life balance is non existent. Managers will expect you to split up your off days through the week and wonder why you come to work burnt out and not motivated, little effort is shown to care about you or your mental health. Was forbidden from using Monday as an off day because of “how busy it gets” but a new hire employee was told Monday’s are pretty slow. Expect a lot of one day weekends and expect to be asked to work a weekend that was originally scheduled off, the week of, no matter what plans you have. I’ve missed many family and friends’ milestones and funerals of loved ones the last few years. You will also be asked if you’re okay with splitting commission for coworkers doing them daily job functions and helping out while you’re away, mind you the person already toured and leased. In the San Antonio region at least, I can’t speak for other locations.

Supportive team environment with great training and onboarding. Strong company culture that focuses on resident experience and employee development. Competitive benefits, housing discounts, and opportunities to grow within the company. Management is generally approachable and encourages professional growth.

Cons

Workload and expectations can be high at times, especially during busy seasons. Growth opportunities may feel limited depending on location or leadership. Some inconsistency in communication from upper management.
