Pros

I like working with the military service members and their families Co-workers are helpful Affordable health insurance We do get some corporate discounts on services and goods

Cons

Stuck in the same role even though I constantly asked to be trained in other areas. Team leads and upper management are dropping like flies, due to acquisition by AMEX Global Travel coming up. No transparency as to what will happen with the current agents, such as if we need to re-apply or we are just SOL.

Pros

Solid salary and benefits, recognition and opportunity for growth across job function and/or upward. Cross-team interactions and collaborations are open and approachable.

Cons

Senior leadership over the last 10 years has eroded the culture and viability. Current mid-management leaders are relatively new to roles and lack mentoring, training or clarity of direction.

Pros

Working remotely, great working environment.

Cons

Navigating two separate layoffs both before and after an acquisition is challenging for anyone, especially when your future is unclear. Being laid off in 2024 rehired in 2025 and then released again after being assured my role was secure only added to that uncertainty. I fully understood the risks of returning to CWT during such a transitional period, but the experience highlighted how crucial clear communication and consistent leadership are during an acquisition. This was not about the work or the people both of which were positive but rather about how the transition from CWT to Amex GBT was managed. My hope is that sharing this helps future employees understand the environment and encourages stronger communication during periods of change.
