Pros

I have read some recent reviews on this website that I disagree with strongly. Cabot is a company of very high integrity. We value our customers and ship high quality product, in fact, if we are unsure then we wont send the product. I lead a sales organization and can say for sure that we make sure we have the customers best interests in mind. Great care is taken in ensuring that our customers will be successful. We value customer needs and seek to find ways to continue to add value and differentiate ourselves. Cabot is seeking to grow into new high value spaces, and this is adding opportunities across the organization, in R&D from CASE to energy storage, in sales across the world, in marketing - where we have several open positions for the right talent. Come join an exciting team with a supportive structure and good benefits.

Cons

Obviously, we need to do more to make sure that all of our employees understand the efforts we take to make sure that our customers are served well. I see Cabot as leading in this area, and some of our competitors are doing the bare minimum. We have a great reputation across our customers. We need to make sure that we continue to expose our employees to customers to hear their voices and understand market needs, so that we can be best positioned to innovate.

Pros

Some good people and good location around Boston area.

Cons

Cabot did not feel like an employee-focused company during my time there. I observed multiple layoffs, including employees who had been hired only a few months earlier. The work environment was often very stressful, with heavy workloads and frequent organizational changes. Communication across different management layers was sometimes inconsistent, leading to mixed messages and unclear priorities. Before accepting a position, I would encourage candidates to carefully evaluate the role, team, and long-term stability of the organization. Significant changes can occur quickly, and it's important to understand the potential impact on work-life balance and career plans.
