Decent Pay and Benefits Good training opportunities if you know how to brown nose to the right people. Safe area for officers to live and work.

Get a few years of experience and move on to an agency that appreciates their Deputies and doesn't use them as faceless, nameless pawns. Easily discarded because there is an police academy down the street to replace them.
