Pros

Low entry requirement, some training for making coffee, get to meet a lot of customer to experience life, opportunity to take over time to earn more, has online training platform to review making coffee and learn other skills, unlimited hot coffee on the house, generally good team spirit. Company claims 85% of the store manager starting from the barista level 1, opportunity to advance in career.

Cons

Very low pay and lack of benefit that cannot sustain life in London, have quota to meet, although can request working hours, the store is constantly lack of staff that there are times (although rarely) have to close the store at 9:30pm then open the store at 5:30a.m, what is on the training may operate differently in the actual store, sometimes so understaffed that cannot train/explain to new employees for the store specific things, no paid leaves (AL or SL), no paid breaks but mandatory be in the store during the assigned hour.

Pros

Nice people to work with, good in between job

Cons

Upper management, don’t place value on their employees, low wages considering how busy the place is, no room for growth, would not recommend for long term employment, always short staffed
