Centralization (access to busses). Flexibility. Pays the mortgage.
Cons
Not many opportunities for advancement. Work goes unrecognized. If you are not an engineer, you are usually out of the loop for work recognition. It doesn't matter how much time or effort you have put in. If you are not part of a circle or don't kiss enough bump, you will have a hard time. Too many politics.
