Pros
The pros and con depend on who you are. I appreciated not being allowed to work overtime, others may not. You are able to take on as much or as little work as you are capable of doing. Fairly good benefits and retirement if you don't die of boredom.
Cons
There are a ton of lazy and/or incompetent people who are frustrating to work with. However this is also a "pro" because if you have an ambitious bone in your body, you can move up when positions become available (if they like you personally).
