Pros

If you're fresh out of college and you need to a starter job, this can be a good opportunity. Lots of unit operations for Process Engineers to learn. You'll get to work with other big companies and learn the industry. The Process Engineers work together as a team.

Cons

High turnover - The average stay for a process engineer is 1-2 years. The only ones that have been there for over 2 years are a handful of engineers that are only there because they have family locally. High turnover for not only engineers, but also for operators, supervisors, and middle management. This makes your job harder because the good people get burned out and never stay. Lack of planning - They don't plan accordingly and as a result, the Process Engineers need to "create a miracle" every week. Engineers are tasked for everything, and blamed for everything. Senior management will not have your back and throw you under the bus for their lack of leadership/planning/direction. Lack of training - When this was brought up to Senior Management, their solution was "make the engineers do it", The engineers that have only been there less than a year were tasked with creating a training program... Poor Senior Management. Lots of empty suits/cowards. They do not care about their employees. For example, due to their lack of planning they randomly fired a big group of employees last summer. Some of the people let go were excellent, some were bad. Some of the people let go were with the company for a long time, and they volunteered lots of personal time for the company. Imagine volunteering for the community to make the company look good, and the next day you're escorted to your car.

Pros

Site capabilities and scientific personnel in the US are world-class.

Cons

Sales management is more concerned with 'covering their 6' than effectively managing a talented sales team to success. Upper management is focused on selling the business. Poor front-line moral of scientists and key personnel.
