Pros
Lots of variety, the day goes pretty fast. Get to work with different people struggling with addiction. Good feeling when you see someone you worked with turning their life around and beating their addiction.
Cons
- Counsellors are at times overloaded with clients. Supposed to be only 6
clients at any one time, can go up to 10.
- Poor pay, CCFA try to hire counsellors at $18 hourly, and they are very reluctant to give anyone a raise. Some benefits but they don't cover much and benefits are expensive and co-pay.
Micro-management is the worst at this company, counsellors / other staff have very little decision making authority, everything goes through the boss. This results in a very stifling environment.
