Pros

It was really inspiring to work at a company built from the ground up. We hosted the Red Cross for over a month after the Santa Rosa fires. One of the founders created a park for displaced people that had a bunch of RVs for people to live in. Worked on my schedule for the most part which equated to some 16 hour days, but also led to some mellow days working from the campus. Consistently brought in at least a million in sales each month. Left during Covid times to move back to Santa Cruz and help my Father who had lung cancer. Would probably still be there as I had nothing but great experiences and treatment there, but had more important things to be doing with my time.

Cons

A lot of inter-organizational issues. People in positions of power that lacked understanding of the industry. Company grew very quickly and keeping that going is harder than a company that’s just maintaining.

Pros

Great people. Excellent products. Fun events. Fulfilling work. Although the cannabis industry as a whole has been experiencing very challenging times for years, CannaCraft continues to produce excellent products and preserve the OG industry culture they helped create - even if it has to be a much smaller team than it once was. CannaCraft was by no means an "easy" place to work, however the level of industry knowledge and experience you gain from working there is equivalent to getting an educational degree in cannabis. Many people who were sadly let go as they downsized are now thriving in new positions or starting their own ventures.

Cons

CannaCraft is a true old-school cannabis company, founded by outlaws and pioneers of the Wild Wests' notorious weed origins. It wasn't started by some corporate suits who think they can jump in the game and exploit it. This gives CannaCraft a level of authenticity you won't find in most cannabis businesses. With that said, the founding farmers had to learn corporate structure backwards, which sometimes gets messy and disorganized. Some people just couldn't hang with the constantly evolving structure and wrote some nasty reviews here. Context is everything. Since CannaCraft has merged with March & Ash, the team has expanded and the addition of a well-organized team of professionals with a high business acumen has seriously leveled-up the company and set it on a straighter track. The integration of the BlueYellow creative & marketing team has been a fantastic upgrade to CannaCraft's legacy of beautiful branding, packaging and marketing.
