Pros

When it's great, it's great! There are many smart, thoughtful colleagues and leaders that many are fortunate to work with. The highest levels of leadership are awesome and peer level colleagues often become friends in addition to great mentors and sources of growth. It's wonderful being around talented individuals all day every day.

Cons

When it's bad, it's awful. Some senior and mid-level managers tend to pass the puck, manage with great inconsistency, and neglect to coach in meaningful ways. It's difficult to feel safe when managers are moving targets. Weak managers impact team performance, but often it's the team that gets blamed.
