Pros
The Hybrid Intelligence group is mostly made up of employees absorbed from Tessella (Altran). During the TUPE process we negotiated well and transferred all our benefits and bonuses over to the new contracts, as well as getting all default Capgemini benefits (apart from company cars for more senior staff). The pension trust and the options for employee share ownership appeared to be good deals. The legacy staff are all high quality employees, with a high proportion of PhDs. They have good relations with customers and a reputation for excellent software development and business analysis work for them. There is currently likely to be opportunities for senior software developers and agile team leads to join Hybrid Intelligence.
Cons
New staff joining Hybrid Intelligence will be offered normal Capgemini benefits, so should be aware that they will have less benefit funding than those in equivalent roles who joined in pre-covid times. During 2022 and 2023 there was over recruitment of new junior staff combined with a reduction in the amount of client project work contracts that were secured. Due to this the spending on internal projects and the internal systems team needed to be reduced. This lead to a faster transition from Hybrid Intelligence systems and processes to those of wider Capgemini. The high quality Tessella culture now remains in the attitude of staff, not in the systems, and there is more frustrating bureaucracy.
