Tough Industry - Financial Representative Capitol Financial Solutions Employee Review

Pros

High pay scales, flexible hours, a couple of experience and knowledgeable advisors.

Cons

The company itself invests next to nothing in you, and your first day put you at a desk with a phone and tell you to get to work. It's mostly up to your sales manager to train you and help you with business practices and phone language. You will be cold calling all day. And expect to pay for your own benefits, rent your cubicle, pay for the software and office supplies, etc.

Flexible and understanding managements/owners that are more than willing to step up for their empoyees.

Cons

Fast paced but detailed work, not for all people if they cannot keep up with the pace.

Pros

As an intern at CAPFS, you'll gain valuable insight to the type of work that Certified Financial Planners do. You get placed into a team of financial advisors that'll mentor you and provide training and advice on the work that you perform. Upon completing the internship, you will have gained great communication skills since there a lot of emphasis in the training provided is on developing such skill set.

Cons

The downside of this internship is that you'll spend a lot of time cold-calling, so it can be a little nerve-wracking at first but it gets easier as you get more experience. On the flip-side, you learn how to speak to people on the phone more effectively which is quite beneficial if your future career entails speaking on the phone often.
