Pros
This was a good place to gain laboratory experience for someone just starting out after college. Beyond that, it was not a promising environment to continue a career.
Cons
A startup company with no niche/novel products to offer.
No promise of future growth for the company.
Very low pay, especially for the Atlanta Metro area.
Overtime is often expected, no additional pay offered as all employees are salaried.
CEO has no previous management experience.
CEO micromanages staff to the point that it is hard to get any real work done due to meetings, status updates, etc.
CEO does not listen to professional opinions of staff or ignores facts he finds inconvenient or contradictory to his existing opinion.
The building is old and often leads to problems with mold in the cell cultures used for their product.
Employees are often ridiculed for failure to perform to high standards in a substandard environment.
Industry guidelines are often worked around or ignored.
Invested money is not utilized wisely leading to a lot of wasted effort and ineffective tools/environment.
CEO does not acknowledge American workplace culture and exploits his Chinese counterparts due to their own.
CEO would travel to China or biotechnology conferences in the US and return with little to no useful information.
CEO uses company money to travel and socialize, has an "I'm the boss" mentality and does not hold himself accountable for anything.
Used to be registered as a group of individuals rather than a company to offer cheaper health insurance.
