Overall there are good and friendly people who work here in the "front of the house". As a technician the Internal Team has many team players who are always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
Unfortunately if you're a technician on the Retail team that's where the benefits of this workplace end. The work is not dispatched evenly on the retail team. Management often just sees that work is getting done, but does not pay attention to the patterns that take place within the dispatching. It is often distributed with favoritism and leaves some technicians high and dry and often given small basic assignments, instead giving them an opportunity to grow. Secondly, the team is filled with toxic and non productive behaviors that are reminiscent of an elementry school playground. Upper management does not care about the issues going on in the shop. Multiple employees reported these issues to the General Manager during my time there, and nothing was done about it. As long as behaviours in the shop are allowed to continue to persist this place will continue to be a revolving door.
Pay is subpar per industry standard and benefits aren't worth it. Starting rates are equivalent to the industry standard over a decade ago. There are plenty of hours to be made as long as work is dispatched evenly, which helps offset the lower hourly rates.
Overall, I enjoyed working for this company early on but soon realized this place is not the end all be all as a technician. It was a great start to my career and I learned a lot in the beginning. I also learned what I don't want out of a job. Between the pay being below the industry standard and management dragging their feet to produce a cohesive team back in the shop I can't recommend this company as a good company to work for.
