Pros
- Management is extremely thoughtful, fair, transparent, organized, and invested in the well-being of every employee.
- Teammates are supportive and helpful. People are personally competitive with themselves to do their best work, but there is no vibe of pushing down others to get ahead.
- Mission-driven company! Everything ties back to our environmental mission, and integrity reigns in our business decisions. It means that you can really feel good about the work you're doing.
- The work is challenging and we are always pursuing ways to make our tools, processes, and habits better. This is a place for questioning the status quo - not resting on it.
- You can really drive your own career path and goals. There is such solid mentorship and support from teammates and management, and nobody is bucketed into limited positions.
Cons
Not really a con in itself, but we work HARD here. There is no easy work, and there is no resting time for sitting back and letting things drift. We are trying to tackle a HUGE problem, so there are innumerable challenges, questions, and problems to address along the way. This is not a place to just do the bare minimum.
That said, there is a strong culture of work-life balance, and even high-level management sets good examples for taking vacation and time off. Thus, this is also (thankfully) not a place where people suffer from regularly burning out.
