Pros
So far hybrid working has been accepted. Good holiday allocation, flexible working, casual dress code and autonomous working and workload management.
Cons
Very very poor pay for the lower grade staff, procedures for carrying out the work is baffling and very old fashioned. Lots of copy and pasting from one system to another which should be done automatically or really be a thing of the past. IT department seems either very understaffed or underfunded or (likely) both. There is always changes made to the way things are done and on many occasions there doesn't seem to be any real point to the change other than to make things more difficult for the staff at the coal face. Quite an old and ageing workforce so not a lot of youthful presence or input into the business and it really shows, a lot of the way the organisation operates is absolutely stuck in the dark ages.
