THE ANTI-AMERICAN COMPANY - Information Technology CareSource Employee Review

Pros

Stable company, but it's ruined because they're the type to do layoffs when there's a billion dollars in the bank. Good cafeteria, visually aesthetic offices.

Cons

CareSource blatantly discriminates against Americans. They provide some sham services to the community when the real service they should be providing is hiring American workers from the community. Many of the 'high skill' jobs they import workers for require almost no special skill and most random people of the street could learn how to do the job in a matter of weeks. Most Americans would be overjoyed to get the pay they're giving to all the foreigners. It's pretty sickening I've seen them layoff highly skilled Americans because of 'budget cuts' while at the exact same time bringing on multiple unskilled H1Bs. Glad to see my tax dollars going to such a great cause. I'm shocked by all the great reviews and am assuming I'll probably get threatened to take this down or the army of foreigners forced to write a good review maybe. Most departments are a train wreck because they don't appoint people to management based on merit, but rather they're the cousin, brother, or spouse of another foreigner working there. Even thought they boast 15 billion in sales they spend like a tiny broke company, under investing and pinching pennies which leads to people being over worked, corners cut and technical debt. I'm disapproving of the CEO because this all happens with his watch.

Pros

- Flexible with employees such as taking PTO, (Still current)(Team dependent) - Flexible schedule (Team Dependent) - Work from home/Hybrid opportunities. - Onboarding and training USED to be excellent but that has eroded. Just wanted to give credit to the company or what it used to be. - They used to give generous bonuses. This is iffy now and gets less and less every year. (Barely current)

Cons

- Low pay compared to other companies comparable positions. - Low accrual of PTO compared to other companies. - The few good Managers/Team Leads they do have are constantly mistreated and pleading with their associates to please stay and help them maintain what is left of the team after outsourcing most of the experiences workforce (20+ year veterans in IT). - Ol' Boys Club, this happens at a lot of places but if you are a form er co worker of a manager or really loyal to the new Directors in the company then you are usually safe. I wish you luck if you are not from the area and have the will to work. - They asked us to let the company use our personal phones for work/on call (We refused, some agreed out of fear) - They demand on call hours with no compensation, Not even Comp time. - Tribal knowledge is VERY bad here. - Knowledge hoarding is bad here and despite that you will be expected to know your duties or figure it out. - Professionalism is not what it should be here and there is a problem here where veterans/Managers in the industry are allowed to essentially neglect their duties and because of low amount of knowledgeable people that missed work gets shoved onto newer and less experienced personnel. - Work from home is constant battle when negotiating. Employees that live right next to work will push those living an hour away to drive in for a job that does not require the office. We barely have an economy and this DOES matter considering the wellbeing and moral of the associates. - Having to hear the same "updates" from the 6 figure salary higher ups about our Epic-Growth is honestly sickening to hear when the people you have trained for the past 3 years have been laid off right after the people that trained you were also laid off and all replaced by underpaid outsourced people with next to no training and a fear of not being on the phone at all times to hold their hands while you train them to replace you. - False promises of raises. They will consistently bring up merit increases like it does anything at all to combat the insane timeline we live in right now. - Broken promises of raises. People that started after us get offered raises and paid more than us because they nod their head instead of raising real concerns for the betterment of the team. - Agreeing without question and never saying no is how to "advance" or survive here. Ciowardice thrives because of this. - Weaponized incompetence also thrives here because management is afraid to hold people accountable unless they are high performers. - Outsourcing in general. It is not the fault of the outsourced associates as they are victims too but even still it's an impossible ask.
