Pros

There are absolutely no pros about working at this place

Cons

Arbitrary high school system and the micromanagement is severe even for a contact centre , the management is petty , they target employees if they speak up against the injustices they are subject to , no scope for assistance despite having legitimate health issues , you get targeted and bullied if you try to speak up , the qa system is broken , the metrics are designed to make you robotic and as long as the management get their bonuses, that’s all they care about, the reviews on seek are disabled which should tell you a lot

Pros

Some genuinely good people below management level.

Cons

Since the merger, I found the culture within the Growth team to be increasingly challenging. There appeared to be a strong inner circle among some leaders and long-standing team members, making it difficult at times for alternative perspectives to be welcomed. There was also a noticeable level of turnover within the team, with a number of experienced employees leaving over a relatively short period. This created uncertainty and raised questions about morale and engagement. Communication and decision-making could be inconsistent, and I often felt there was a disconnect between the organisation's stated values and the day-to-day experience of employees. Recognition for contributions was not always consistent, and support during challenging periods could be lacking. I did not feel comfortable raising concerns or challenging decisions, as there was a perception that doing so could negatively impact career progression or performance discussions. In my experience, genuine feedback was not welcomed in a constructive manner.

Pros

-Superannuation is a stable industry -Ongoing, full-time employment -Predictable income and structure -Colleagues are generally friendly -Day-to-day interactions with teammates feel positive -There’s a sense of being part of a team

Cons

-zero natural downtime -little flexibility to reset Everything being: -timed -monitored -tracked -categorised -timing toilet breaks and putting limits on them creates a robotic, high-pressure environment that leaves little room for: -autonomy -human variability -basic self-regulation Despite messaging that you are: “the front line” ”highly valued” “critical to the organisation” …the reality is: -basic needs are questioned— -wellbeing is deprioritised when it conflicts with call demand -trust is replaced with surveillance This disconnect is emotionally draining.
