Pros

Many of the staff are pleasant to work with. The unlimited PTO is a great benefit (although not clearly explained).

Cons

The CEO is not a good leader or communicator. The corporate culture is that of fear. No interdepartmental coordination. The entire office is confused as to what the direction of the company is. No standards or guidelines are in place for the majority of the companies divisions. Much of the staff have no background in this sector of the market. High turnover and inability to hire and put in place the right people for the right position.

Pros

Growth-oriented environment. Rapid expansion creates opportunities to take on new initiatives and influence company direction. Cross-functional exposure, giving broad business visibility to a lot of different departments. Mission-driven work: Strong focus on supporting veterinary teams and improving patient care at scale. Visibility to senior leadership and the ability to contribute ideas. HUGE Process-building opportunities: Still-evolving infrastructure allows employees to help build and improve systems and processes.

Cons

Rapid growth challenges: Scaling can lead to frequent changes, shifting priorities, and some confusion on structure. Communication: Field teams and corporate may not always feel aligned due to fast pace, Responsibilities can evolve quickly and teams feel lean due to manual work in places that could be more streamlined with focus spent on building in efficiencies.
