The company is wholly focused on the bottom line and making immediate profit. This makes it not well positioned to foster future innovation. The company has been resting on its laurels for too long and it doesn’t seem sure if it wants to be a technology company or a traditional primary metals manufacturer. There can be a tenuous relationship between upper level management and low level employees that hampers progress.
