Pros

-There are some genuine employees and managers who really want to see things improve, and care about you. -Pay raises come if your willing stick out the culture issues that long and work to get promoted. -MTO policy is nice, but puts a lot of strain on other IMs or their managers to cover because some IM’s are constantly requesting time off, I guess when things are unlimited some will selfishly abuse it.

Cons

-Workloads are never consistent and can get really high, even after Execs tell you that will never happen again. -Upper management still has very little understanding of what is actually going on even after being surprised by employee happiness data being so low. No one is happy in the delivery org. On my skip levels with upper management, they seem to put the blame for any issues on team leads. Which is strange, because the leads are in the trenches with us keeping the ship from sinking, and actually seem to care about us and our careers. -Henry (CEO) and Exec management is EXTREMELY apathetic to anything that is going on in our org. -If you are in delivery org (Support, Implementations, CTC), you get treated like the proverbial arm pit of Carta. No acknowledgement or resources are sent your way and feel like you are an after-thought. -Exec team only cares about latest shiniest product. Those of us that work to get clients onboarded to legacy products and keep them happy are treated with disregard. - No cohesion between offices. -The culture is failing here I would recommend staying away until things improve. Lot’s of other companies out their have there stuff together regarding culture and how employees are treated. Right now, Carta doesn’t and it is not currently an emphasis at all. -Upper management has no idea what your job is, they just like to hand down edicts and aren’t interested in seeing you grow. -Team leads seem stuck in the middle, just trying to figure out how to keep people happy long enough to get them trained, I feel bad for them.

Pros

Carta has a strong product, a respected brand, and many talented employees who are passionate about their work. The company moves quickly and provides opportunities to work alongside smart colleagues across the organization.

Cons

The culture can feel cliquish and political, where success is sometimes influenced more by relationships and visibility than impact. Leadership frequently shifts priorities, creating confusion around expectations and making it difficult to execute effectively. There can also be a disconnect between executive leadership and the realities faced by teams, while managers are not always equipped to provide clear guidance, advocate for their teams, or help navigate competing priorities.
