Pros
Lovely & genuine clientele - most residents are quite cosmopolitan & extremely appreciative of efforts made to provide real customer service; they will celebrate you if you show care for them! Simple black uniform. Hearty, fresh & tasty meals provided for every 4 hours worked. Great camaraderie between cooks & servers! Cooks take their work very seriously, and appreciate when the Front of House does the same. Secure funding model provides for stable schedule & hours. Corporate-style overhead ensures simple on-boarding process. Medical-facility status requires tangible measures are taken during COVID outbreaks & other health-related incidents.
Cons
Extremely poor communication across senior management, middle management & entry-level staff. Communication is also poor between management & HR, so be prepared to "look out for yourself." Training is inconsistent across new hires & always inadequate, with virtually no management of an individual Server's day-to-day performance. Great first job for high school students, anyone who is avoiding adulthood or looking to quickly gain experience as a server & get out quicker. Unclear that any Servers continue in the Food Service industry. Not recommended for anyone who already has critical thinking skills.
