Pros
Good salary, decent sales support. Managers generally willing to work with you to help attain success. Cardboard recycling is very competitive, but they have a few forward thinking programs that might be considered an edge over the competition.
Cons
Sales cycle in recycling contracts is usually 2 year minimum commitment in the industry. When you find a company willing to consider signing with you, management not willing to keep a sales person on long enough to have the remainder of the companies previous commitment end so you can close the deal. Too much reporting and paperwork which takes away considerably from time which should be spent on prospecting and closing deals
