Pros

The rest of the engineering staff and myself are constantly facing technical challenges that push us to learn more about our field than ever envisioned. Having been here for 2 years, everyone feels like family, and that makes coming into work so much more fun. I work closely with some of the smartest people that I've met, which helps drive intelligent and productive conversations and product development. Everyone here is able to contribute to CashStar's success no matter what job they have or department they're in.

Cons

Small teams can sometimes be difficult for timely project success. Though tightly-knit and very productive, some projects teams constantly face large innovative work loads that are more appropriate for teams twice the size.

Pros

Great work culture. Everyone there wants to work together to make customers succeed.

Cons

Purchase from Blackhawk brought a lot of expected changes, but most local people lost their vision and purpose.

Pros

Interning at Cashstar was amazing. They really care about making sure you get the most out of the internship and are contributing to meaningful projects. Instead of having the interns work on their own isolated project all summer, Cashstar integrated the interns into the dev teams and allowed them to work on the same projects that the full-time software engineers were working on. We also switched teams a few times throughout the summer so we got a more complete perspective on the way different teams operated and the different projects they worked on. This greatly increased my confidence going forward in the software engineering industry. All of the engineers were always willing to help out and lend advice as well. Cashstar really made the interns feel like part of the team. Keep up the good work!

Cons

The way the internship is set up, the onus is on each dev team to find tickets that are meaningful projects but aren't too involved for an intern to do. This can sometimes be a hard balance to find, especially when a team is bogged down with other work. For the most part, the teams do a good job with picking the projects and they are always open to feedback.
