Pros

The Pros are their benefits and their user friendly dashboard.

Cons

Training is inadequate, online modules (yup, that's about it), no hands-on training, management is unorganized, tasks that should have been covered during training, not only are they never covered even by your immediate supervisor, but one day you might get an Email such as; can you submit XYZ . Which your immediate supervisor has yet to mention to you is a responsibility of yours. Severe problems in the communications department. Constantly, as in weekly, something new pops-up, it is a very easy job, but the the amount of inconsistency is what I found stressful. It is a very toxic environment, I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with this Co. I had always heard such great things about Catapult and truly thought this was the place to retire with. It might be the Los Angeles department, not too sure. Within two weeks of working with Catapult I started to feel depressed that feeling where you no longer look forward to going to work. It was just such a disappointment. If you have more than two years of experience teaching, to not work for Catapult, it's a great place for someone starting out in the Education field. You also have to be O.K. Chaos due to it being unorganized. If you take a position with them, ask, how long would my commute be from so and so "with" traffic. If you're in the city of L.A. I do not recommend you take on any job where your commute is more than an hour. They also did a switch and bate. I was never told I would NOT get PAID during certain days and holidays, till I had already STARTED (yes!). I started and did not have the following: classrooms I would be working with students, teachers names, Email addresses, phone numbers, monthly school calendar, usually when you work with a third party such as Catapult, these things should have already been covered during training and given to a new employee. No data was given to work with. When asked for data, it went ignored. Please trust me, if you cannot find a job and you are feeling desperate because you have bills piling up and rent due, fine, take a job with Catapult, the pay is great. BUT they should be your last resort. If you're someone who is Okay doing the bare minimum, then maybe Catapult is for you. If you care more about your paycheck than the students who work with, I know this sounds horrible, but it is true for some, then, Catapult will be perfect you. Why? The curriculum has grammatical and spelling errors, they group students by grades, not by any baselines. I felt I wasn't making the difference I wanted to make, I felt many times, a dummy (literally not figurative) would have done my job. So, if you're the type of employee that cares more about clocking in and out and being done with your day, go for it. For those of you, where even if you're not making much, you will use your own money to buy supplies for your students, do not work with Catapult, you will be highly disappointed.

Pros

My supervisor was supportive, attentive, and respectful. Her weekly meetings were helpful, and supplies were ordered promptly.

Cons

Our funding was abruptly cut by the government. I was given no warning. All communications ceased from that day.
