Pros
Teams are full of great people, genuinely driven people whose talents are unfortunately underutilised
Cons
Senior Management drives the company with complete opacity, pretending to adress employee discontent under "mental health" projects that go nowhere. The CEO changes policies on a whim, ending remote work policies for all offices despite employees' desires. The C-suite got paid their bonuses while announcing massive layoffs a couple of months later, only to then re-announce that the company is doing well financially. Pay is under market rate, and engineers keep bearing the brunt of a lot of crunch, while delays keep occurring. There is massive pressure to attend all needs of customers, while sales keeps overpromising and placing blame on engineering. Code practices are pretty terrible, and when junior engineers get used to them, they are then blamed for following what they have been taught. Overall, if you can avoid it, I'd suggest finding a different workplace.
