Pros

Fun collections and great coworkers. Dogs

Cons

Benefits have gone downhill, especially with the shift from front-loaded PTO to an accrual system. The change was communicated through a vague email about a week before it went into effect, with no in-person conversation or chance to ask questions. It made it hard for people to plan and was poorly handled. The policy only impacts hourly employees, while salaried employees and managers still keeping their front-loaded PTO and more flexibility, creating a clear imbalance. It’s even more noticeable given the physical nature of warehouse and production roles, which require being on-site without flexible options. PTO approvals are also inconsistent, with requests denied without clear reasoning. A lot of experienced and amazing people have left or been pushed out, and morale has taken a hit. The shift in culture has been noticeable and disappointing.

Pros

The team - and the discount on some items

Cons

The culture created by upper management was often hostile and controlling, creating an environment where employees felt they had to walk on eggshells. Many employees feared for their jobs depending on the mood or shifting expectations of upper management. The company removed previously offered compensation structures such as bonuses, weekend pay, and holiday pay, while payroll hours were reduced to the point that some team members struggled to maintain stable income. Turnover was extremely high, with very few employees lasting longer than a year. Employees were frequently replaced when they were perceived as no longer “aligned.” There was also a culture of gossip about employees who left the company, including within HR, which made reporting concerns feel unsafe. Several employees left abruptly or needed time away from the workforce due to the stress of the environment. Compensation was below industry standards for luxury retail, and benefits and incentives were reduced over time rather than improved.
