Cons
This is a Commission Only job opportunity. If you are not hired to sell both AT NEED and PRE NEED prospects do not even consider taking this job. Almost all job openings at CCA are for Pre Need selling jobs. What that means is you are supposed to go find prospects who want to buy cemetery property in advance of their death. [Plots, vaults, markers and mausoleum crypts] What CCA is hoping you will do is sell your relives, friends and neighbors. That's because there are NO Leads. Training is, for all practical purposes, non existent. That is accept for a script you are supposed to use when making cold telephone calls and knocking on doors. It was my experience, when after making hundreds of phone calls, I was lucky enough to get an appointment and sell something half of my commission went to my boss on the theory I was being trained on that call. The only people making any kind of a decent income at my cemetery were the career employees who at access to AT Need prospects. [ At Need is when someone dies and burial arrangements must be make immediately. For obvious reasons this is an easy sale and/or an opportunity to establish a relationship with a family that will lead to future sales.] Again why it is essential that At Need be in your hiring package.] When I added in what I had to spent on gasoline, auto insurance, clothing, dry cleaning, taxes etc. I would have made more at a minimum wage job.
